how do I activate pro?
pay 6.9 USDC (monthly) or 79 USDC (annual) to the published receiver address on ethereum, base, optimism, or arbitrum. the macOS app auto-detects the payment via blockscout — usually within a couple of minutes. if it doesn't pick up, paste the tx-hash manually in Settings → License. no card on file, no recurring billing.
what is the cast stamp?
free users get a small Sent via Lectern on macOS footer appended to their casts. pro subscribers and active-trial users cast clean. honest advertising — same pattern other clients use.
how do threads + long casts work?
free accounts get long casts up to 1,024 bytes. past that, the composer auto-splits into a numbered self-reply chain (1/5, 2/5, …). farcaster pro accounts can post a single long cast up to 10,240 bytes. either way you preview before broadcast.
i got locked out of a farcaster account. can lectern help?
if your custody key was held by a third party (privy, embedded wallet), lectern can't recover it — only the holder can. lectern is the structural fix: register your next fid with lectern, custody + recovery in your keychain.
